Support for the Biblical Strategies Booklets
Hats off to Phil Moser for helping us navigate through life’s most challenging issues in a clearly biblical way. The thing I like about these booklets is that they are forged by a pastor who has successfully wrestled through these issues with his flock, and thankfully he now shares these insights with the church at large.
Pastors often face a variety of problems in their weekly counseling. Every issue that requires counseling flows from some kind of sinful behavior—either a sin of commission or omission. Despite the multifaceted nature of sin and its consequences, these problems all stem from a single source; the love of self over the love of Christ. Because of this singular source, there are foundational spiritual principles that can be applied to every situation to call men and women back to the love of Christ first and foremost. In this easy to understand booklet, Phil Moser has done an admirable job of identifying those principles and then applying them to daily life. I commend this work both to those who are struggling in their daily walk, and to those counselors who are seeking additional tools to sharpen their counseling.
The life that Jesus lived often seems out of reach and distant from our suburban world. In Just Like Jesus, Phil Moser lays out a clear and biblical strategy for spiritual growth and progress. This book should really carry a warning label, “Caution: grows passionate believers.”
Pastor Moser’s writing reflects a deep commitment to helping individuals both understand and obey God’s Word in their daily life. As an experienced counselor he realizes that just teaching the truth is not enough; people need help on the practical steps of disciplining themselves for the purpose of godliness. I commend his combination of exposition, call to obedience and “how-to.”
I am delighted to commend the work of Pastor Phil Moser whose Biblical Strategies ministry builds on the person of the Lord Jesus Christ and the power of God’s Word.
