5 Steps to Start 12th Man Training with your Men’s group

12th man graphic widescreenOn the gridiron, the 12th man describes a vocal fan base — their aggressive participation at game time can inspire the home team and frustrate the opposition. But in the Bible the 12th man describes the opportunity that arose when a 12th disciple was needed (Acts 1:20). The purpose of 12th man training is to help men spiritually prepare themselves so that, whether husband, father, friend or servant-leader — when opportunity calls — they are ready.

112th Man Training is character-based instruction for men using the Biblical Strategies material. Biblical help is offered in 30 twenty minute teaching segments as men develop biblical strategies for overcoming the issues with which they often struggle — anger, self-pity, sexual temptation, procrastination, anxiety, and broken relationships. A unique aspect of the training is the directed table-talk discussions. For 35 minutes following the teaching, a table leader fosters discussion around that weekā€™s topic, provides accountability for each manā€™s spiritual growth, and builds community among the men at the table.
